Lekki Market
Hi Guys,
I am jumping because it is Wednesday and we have a public holiday in 2 days. I already have a full weekend planned out, places to check out and events as well. It is a long weekend so I will advice everyone to be sure about their plans and do as many things as possible.
Today’s post is about my latest discovery in Lekki, as part of my to do list in Lekki this year I said i will visit the Lekki-Jakande market which i finally did on saturday and i have really cool stories about the market. It is quite different from Lagos (Balogun, Oke-arin) market I am used too, not as fussy as usual. The market is different and I have to make shout out to Mary Okenete who pointed the market out to me.
On Saturday I went looking for the infamous market and I made some really cool discoveries. The post today is about my jewellery discoveries at the market. I went to the market with N5,000 as my spend budget on accessories. My discovery was slowed down by the crazy heat (Sun), It was really crazy but I eventually got cool accessories.
At the market I did not feel like I was in Nigeria because you rarely expect to find this time of creativity in Lagos. These are the kind of things I found when I went to ghana. The market was filled with a lot of handmade accessories from beads, to fresh water pearls, leather skins, it was almost unbelievable. I said to my friend that Nigerians are so super creative I can’t wait to share more from the market with you guys.
I barely spent the 5,000 from the market but I only got 2 items for N2,500 (A vintage purse I adore for N1,900 and N600 for the necklace).
I still have a good number of accessories to still purchase at the market. Here are some pictures of the accessories I saw at the market (Necklace, earrings, bracelets & more) for Jewellery lovers
It is funny how I have lived in Lekki all this time and never went to the market wondering how many people in Lekki know this market actually does exist.
I will be doing more market series soon with my bargain finds and other discoveries soon. If you would love to join please send me an email or drop a comment below.
If you have been to the Lekki/Jakande/Elegushi crafts market.

Got to put it on my list of stops. By the way Olammide, you never did tell me what was in that Insanity Burger special. Tell me something if you can. I’m very curious, because it looked so good.
