Lagos Tea House

Hey Guys, Hope you had a great weekend. Its a new week as we countdown to the end of the month plus elections should do and quickly go. This weekend I had some good experience and some where not so cool (Can’t shout to some of the places I went because of how bad).

Today on food monday I will be sharing my latest food discovery experience in Lekki with you and where. It is not every time I roam around the streets of lekki to find new places but thanks to social media sometimes I pay attention and see pictures. So yesterday I visited one of the newest rooftop spots in Lekki and here is the gist.

The first time I heard about Lagos tea house was on instagram when someone tagged me in a picture about a new place that launched like 3 weeks ago. The first thoughts that came to my mind was how is it possible there is a tea house in Lekki Phase 1 i don’t know about (Apart from the tea room). I was wondering what this place would be like because from the picture on Instagram it looked very british. So I went out to look for the place, then I realized it was that new building it took them like forever to complete which I had previously thought it was an office building or something.

I for one love the idea of a tea house, it’s just very british to me. So on getting there I thought the view from the rooftop even though covered was really good. The restaurant itself was nicely decorated even though it did not look like a typical tea house. I am not much of a hot beverage person so I went with someone that is so i don’t use (don’t like tea to spoil this review). They had 3 menus – a bit complicated because it is a tea house and a restaurant. So they had one for tea, food and pastries. The tea menu was impressive they had a variety. Bearing in mind am not a tea person I made sure i tried out the tea with my breakfast.

The tea when served was nicely presented and it was placed in a warmer with timer. See pictures for the more

Being a tea house, they sure do know their tea. The breakfast I had – club sandwich – was nicely done but the english breakfast on the other plate was very complicated just as the menu which wasn’t encouraging.

I really look forward to dinning their at night and looking out to the amazing view (it looks to me like an italian restaurant).
