Farm City -Your Saturday Shopping in Lekki
The weekend comes with so much expectations especially when you work 8-5 in lagos with all the traffic or mini travel. The lekki adventure continues for me this weekend as am excited it is friday. I am reviewing a new place, well not so new but it is new to the neighborhood. It is like our own farmers market where everything is fresh directly from the source – Vegetables, meat, chicken and more.
It is the Farm city mini mart in lekki phase 1 that consists of grocery, meat mart and a sea food mart. As i mentioned earlier it is still new and knowing how posh the lekki residents are, it is no surprise a farmers market type opened up in the estate because the closest market is in oniru. The farm city mart is interesting because you can get everything fresh from the farm so it is not processed yet if you are worried about shopping for those items at the supermarket. There used to be something like this in lekki called the ‘Owambe Market’ and they only opened on saturday selling everything straight from the market but they have been closed for a while now.
There are also some fruits, vegetables that are rare to find in supermarkets. Well you can get all your fruits, vegetables at farm city mini mart on Admiralty way. They also offer bulk purchase on all their fresh produce which will usually be cheaper in bulk for storage. Same goes for seafood. Even if we live on water in lekki these things are scarce in their own way but farm city has most of the nice seafood people like.
I also spotted a corner shop next to the mart selling smoothies, sandwiches and salad; all fresh with fresh fruits and veggies from the market. If you want it processed. I think farm city offers you everything you can get in the market interms of grocery shopping and you can cut down on the long trip to the market on saturdays, as the market is just next to you now in Lekki phase 1.
