Food Monday – On the failed breakfast Attempt in Lekki
This week’s food monday post is about breakfast at Road Chef in Lekki. When road chef in lekki was launching I heard so much about the breakfast jump starters offering quick and fast breakfast. I made a mental note to try out the quick and different breakfast when I could. Some will compare this breakfast option to mcdonalds which I personally don’t like but I still had high hopes for the jump starter breakfast.
On the day I tried the jump starter breakfast, It was one of those mornings I was driving around craving something different for breakfast, road chef in lekki opens early so I decided to stop by to try the road wrap breakfast which I have had in mind for a while.
On their menu, there was no road wrap with beef but I asked since I can’t eat pork (all the options on the menu). Excited about breakfast wrap I wanted to add the smoothie on their menu but I thought it was too expensive, So I drove to farm city to pick up smoothie that will complement my breakfast. Summary
When presented the wrap looked full just like the italian wrap I had at road chef when they launched. The breakfast wrap experience was similar to that of the italian wrap I had and did not like. The easiest way to sum up the experience I had with the breakfast wrap was that it was an absolute waste of my money. The egg was bland and the beef had no taste, I wasn’t sure what it would have tasted like if it was with ham/sausage. I did not think it was a good combination as well, I could barely finish one half of it. I had to look for ways to spice up the wrap to make it eatable.
