Throw Back – The Voters in Lekki (Election Tales) Pics
Hello Guys,
TGIF
I am super excited the weekend is here. So before I round off my week I just have to drop this gist about my voting experience in Lekki during the last election. To be honest, Lekki polling units might have been some of the most organized in Lagos.
I am truly impressed by how people took out time and resources to make the elections a success in different parts of lagos including Lekki. Apart from coming out to vote there where the extra’s around it (Planning) and it made the process so fast and easy. Like some people think everything has to be hard in Nigeria which shouldn’t be the case if we don’t at least try to do something about it.
So in Lekki, I visited 3 polling units – my polling unit (opposite Avalon First bank on admiralty road, The one next to it and pavilion briefly). Lekki no dry carry last
At my polling unit, 2 brothers (Deolu and Dapo) worked with the Inec team to make sure voting was very easy, they rented chairs, tents, made number tag (The ultimate savor). Also Lekki association donated some refreshments that was given out at the polling units as well but the best part was that residents brought food and drinks to share to people voting
While that was going on myself/Family/friends decided to make the experience a good one, we brought out board games and decided to camp with mats on the floor while waiting to vote (for our numbers to be called). This amazed people that was came prepared but we had to make the best out of it.
They where sharing ice-cream at my polling unit which came in very handy for the heat on saturday. It was a great experience and I can’t wait for 2020 (We shall do it again) Vote for change. Had some of the coolest people at my polling unit as well.

If you where in Lekki polling unit 012 please send me a mail and also looking to hear about other people’s experience voting around Lekki.
xoxo
