“London Life in Lekki”
This post is london over-due and it brings back a lot of memories living in the UK. My very first impression about this place in Lekki gave me the sense that they where not trying to be Nigeria but giving you a taste of what you are used to outside Nigeria.
When I first heard about this place it was hard for me to believe it was possible until I went there and kept going back again. The trill there is for you to enjoy your stay in Nigeria and still have that feeling. So Lekki has this to offer as well asides from the Traffic people talk about and some bad roads.
Walking into this place it looks very different from the outside but when you get inside it is a proper clone of a UK pub. Like you have to have been in one to know it. For me it was exciting like the setting was on point the drinks they served, they really did try to get it. With the food as well. You should check this place out when it is time for football it is crazy noisy because just like a UK Pub people are always watching football. Three Things about this place really made me think I was in London
– The setting and Uk Flags everywhere and they also had pictures of the owner of churchill pub in the Uk (Winston Churchill). The moment you step in you forget you are actually in Nigeria not in London
– The Food – There is no food like pub food where you have Chips with almost everything from Steak to British baked fish. Well this place had the best steak I have had so far in Lagos because it was well seasoned and done. Also heard the meat is imported so it taste just like it should, I mean proper steak. If you want it mid -rare you get that and crispy chips
Drinks – They sold UK branded beers at the bar. When I found out I was impressed because you get this only when you travel and for people who are addicted to the London/UK Culture this is it for you. You will get addicted to this pub.
