10 Things to do in Lekki After Mid-Night

Lekki is slowing taking after Victoria island as the part of the island that truly never sleeps. Sometimes driving on admiralty way at 11 pm seems exactly like driving in Victoria Island.

Today’s post is a follow up of the 247’s in Lekki where I talked about places open 24hours. I realized that a lot of people from other parts of Lagos come around Lekki late at night and I thought to share some more useful tips with things to do in lekki late at night.

This is almost like the first thing I would recommend because Lekki now has some food spots that are open 24 hours and seriously if you can’t eat out you can even order in. Some of the spots in Lekki you can grab a bite at after midnight are Aramis, Road XIV Chinese, The place, Farm city. You can also order from road XIV chinese or the kitchen (24 hours delivery). There is still the suya and Shawarma joints you can look out for, You really have food options for when you are out late at night.

This is still centred around the Lekki-Ikoyi bridge just because it is beautiful at night. Don’t worry about being alone because I have driven past the bridge late at night and seen people walking or jogging. It relaxes the mind, it is definitely worth trying. The bridge is completely safe especially on weekends (Police men are stationed at both round-a-bouts)

Whichever works for you, you can have fun doing it late at night. So a couple of places like Brizz lounge, Bukka hut, Primi Piatti, Xovar lounge have live bands on some days during the week. Karoke on selected days at Aramis, Brizz lounge, MVP Lagos, switch lounge also some of these places are open till late.

 Go Clubbing

This is the one everyone must have expected to be the first. Just like Victoria island there are clubs in Lekki and they are banging all the way. The clubs start hitting off proper around 1pm so you can plan well. From when you drive into the estate gate you notice the number of cars on both sides of The Place. There is one also close to the gate BLD by play (Club and lounge) and then you can head onto The bank night club. These places amongst others can help you build a fun night clubbing in Lekki phase 1 before heading to the clubs on the express way like xovar, Elysum Lekki e.t.c

This is almost a usual for people around here, it is one of the popular ways of hanging out in Lekki. There are a lot of bars, lounges and even beer parlors in Lekki that are open till very late like 2am-3am. (Use the Lekki map to locate the bars in Lekki)

Lekki phase 1 has at least 5 waterside spots that are open till very late and the view from there is amazing. You can simply relax, eat/drink and enjoy the view. This is a good recommendation for when you are restless at night.

For the youngsters it’s no news that you can go clubbing at Elegushi beach at night. The beach really comes alive at night with cool hangout spots mapped out there with good music. You’ll find people leaving elegushi beach at 5am in the morning heading back home, so don’t worry, you won’t be the only one there. I won’t advise you to go swimming at the beach at night but you can try out other fun activities. I have played volley ball at the beach at night and it can be fun as well.

This might sound really off to some people but driving around can be really cool. I have done it a couple of times and it still trips me because the express way is so free and beautiful. I am not saying you should drive fast but just drive around and observe your environment. The express way at night is so peaceful especially when the lights are on.

This is not to say you can go shopping for clothes like people must already think. At least for now we don’t have 24hour clothing stores but we have grocery/drug stores that are open 24hours in Lekki phase 1 (Medplus pharmacy, daytona 247) selling Food, Meds, beauty products, home items and others.
